Your Lottery Dollars
The Arkansas Lottery has provided more than $738 million for more than 275,000 scholarships to Arkansas students to 51 colleges, universities and technical schools in the state. Net proceeds from the Office of the Arkansas Lottery are used to provide scholarships and grants to Arkansas residents enrolled in public and private nonprofit two-year and four-year colleges and universities within the state.
The Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship
The Arkansas Academic Challenge Program provides educational assistance to Arkansas residents in pursuit of a higher education. Single Parent Scholarship
The Phyllis A. Keltner Foundation for Women Scholarship gives single mothers with dependent children an incredible opportunity at UA Little Rock to overcome some of the many financial hurdles in getting a college education and provide secure futures for their families.
The scholarship covers the cost of tuition and fees up to 12 hours of enrollment, plus books and supplies up to $300 per semester. Recipients may enroll in more than 12 hours per semester but will be responsible for paying the additional charges. Award amounts will be adjusted based on each recipient’s actual enrollment. Scholarships may be renewable, but you must reapply annually.
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Be currently enrolled as a non-traditional undergraduate student at UA Little Rock
- Be a single mother with dependent children
- Demonstrate academic accomplishment
- Complete a 2018-19 FAFSA to demonstrate financial need
- Complete a written narrative
