University of Findlay -- Career-Focused Education with 60 Majors
Since 1882, the University of Findlay (UF) has offered a career-focused, liberal arts education designed to equip students for meaningful lives and success within the job market. The private Ohio university offers more than 60 majors leading to bachelor's degrees, nine master's degrees, two doctoral degrees, and a selection of associate's and certificate programs. College of Business
The College of Business offers bachelor's programs in 10 majors: accounting, business management, economics, finance, hospitality management, human resource management, international business, marketing, operations and logistics, and sport and event management. Through UF's five-year Certified Public Account (CPA)-Master in Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree track, students may earn bachelor's degrees in financial accounting and master's degrees in business administration, while preparing to sit for the CPA exam.
All programs are enhanced by experiential learning opportunities, community partnerships, and problem-based learning. Nearly 80% of business students were employed within three months of graduation. Graduates have found positions with such prestigious companies as Cooper Tire and Rubber, Marathon Oil, and Whirlpool.
College of Education
The College of Education at the University of Findlay offers a comprehensive bachelor's program in education that addresses general education requirements while incorporating professional education courses and hands-on field experiences during all four years. Students have many opportunities for internships and in-school observation experiences. The program schedule offers flexibility in completing the degree program, as courses may be completed on campus or online.
In addition to the bachelor's degree program in education, the college offers post baccalaureate, professional development training, and certificate programs, as well as training toward education administration positions, teaching licenses, and teaching endorsements. UF education majors have a 100% pass rate on state licensure exams.
College of Health Professions
The College of Health Professions (COHP) at UF offers a broad range of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs on the cutting edge of health professions education. The supportive, student-centered programs also offer a range of hands-on experiences in over 1,000 supervised clinical training sites. COHP graduates have a 99% employment rate.
COHP offers eight undergraduate majors, including healthcare management, health and physical education, medical laboratory science, nuclear medicine technology, pre-nursing, positron emission tomography/computer tomography, social work, and strength and conditioning. Minors in coaching or gerontology are also available.
College of Liberal Arts
The College of Liberal Arts (COLA) offers small classes taught by dedicated faculty members with commitments to student learning. Programs are designed to continue the centuries-old liberal arts tradition of preparing graduates who are informed citizens, innovative thinkers, and effective leaders.
COLA offers bachelor's programs in 22 majors: art (studio and fine art), art management, children's book illustration, criminal justice, communication, digital media, English, forensic science, graphic design, history, Japanese, journalism, language and culture, pre-law, philosophy, political science, psychology, public relations, religious studies, Spanish, TESOL, and theatre.
College of Pharmacy
The UF College of Pharmacy is one of only 13 pharmacy schools in the nation to offer a direct-entry, 0+6 program, which accepts students as freshmen and allows them to graduate after six years with Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degrees. All 6th year students complete nine months of clinical education at one of 25 hub sites, offering valuable experience matched with location mentors. Students can also complete M.B.A. or Master of Science (M.S.) in Health Informatics degrees along with the Pharm.D. degree.
College of Science
One of UF's largest colleges, the College of Science provides rich learning environments from expert faculty members and within modern applied science classrooms and labs. Students have many opportunities to connect with faculty members both inside and outside of the classroom, including through original undergraduate research projects.
The college offers the following nine bachelor's programs: animal science (with a pre-veterinary option), biology, chemistry, computer science, equestrian studies (both English and western riding), equine business management, mathematics, pre-medicine, and environmental, safety, and occupational health management. The college boasts a 100% employment rate for environmental science graduates and one of the top pre-vet and equestrian studies programs in the nation.
