In the short span of 5 years of its functioning the school has emerged tall in every aspect of education viz., academic, co-curricular and moral standards.
The school building came up in two phases with the foundation stone laid by Dr.(Smt.) D.Purandareswari, the then Union Minister for Human Resource Development and the inauguration of the Primary Block (Block-A) by Shri Anil R.Dave, the then Chief Justice of High Court of Andhra Pradesh on 6th July,2009. The second phase came in the form of the Secondary block (Block-B), which was inaugurated on 16th April, 2011 by His Excellency Shri ESL Narasimhan, Joint Governor of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Initially the school was started from Pre-primary to class-V and over its span of 5 years, it has grown to the level of Pre-primary to class-X with the pupil’s strength of around 1800, and with over 70 teaching and non-teaching staff. However, the school is expanding both in terms of student and teaching fraternity year after year.
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education and strictly adheres to the norms laid by the Board.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Atmakuri Rama Rao School presented the First Edition of UDAAN-2016, a cultural show on 5th November, 2016 involving all the students of Std. III and IV.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal Dr.(Mrs.) R.A.Rani.
In her welcome address, the Principal appreciated the parents for their continuous support which is like a key to open the unlimited talents of the students.
The cultural show was marked by a song on Lord Ganesha, Welcome dance, Skits in Telugu, English and Hindi.
The main attraction of the show was a group dance on a medley of songs wherein 96 students danced on the foot tapping numbers, related to the Indian festivals.
The programme was diligently organized and concluded with a note on Unity in Diversity of our country.
Perpetuating its efforts for the holistic development of the students, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Atmakuri Rama Rao School celebrated the ‘Annual Sports Day’ on 26.11.2016 with great ardour.
Shri L. Ravichander, Senior Counsel was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Shri S. Gopalakrishnan, I.A.&A.S. (Retd.), Chairman - School Managing Committee presided over the function. Smt.Saroja Gopalakrishnan and other dignitaries were also present.
Welcoming the guests on the occasion, the Principal lauded the students for their involvement in the Sports Day event which would help them evolve as better citizens in their lives. She also spelt gratitude to the Chairman Sir for his generous and selfless attitude in the all-round development of the school.
Shri S. Gopalakrishnan sir in his address revived the purpose of education as to render service to the society and redefined happiness as a state of mind.
The Chief Guest Shri L. Ravichander addressing the ‘Parents’ in specific stressed on the need for shifting education from ‘studying’ to ‘learning’ & a need to build a better character rooted to our culture.
The sports day ceremoniously started with the lighting of the torch by the sports captains of the school, declaring the sports meet open. Apart from the regular March past, there was a splendid field display with mass student participation starting from Kindergarten to Class-X. A spirited presentation by the class-X students that encapsulated their responsibilities as the future citizens of our nation stood out in the cultural extravaganza that featured a host of programme.
